Liverpool

So Liverpool gained a valuable 3 points at home to Bolton on Saturday. The performance in the first half was not great as Bolton had two very good chances to score but this was a much better performance then midweek against Wolves.

Steven Gerrard was our most improved player as he was being man marked for most of the match but his work rate and movement was much better. Our defense also looked pretty strong, the big greek in the middle doing very well.

I thought NGog looked lively but he did miss a sitter when we were looking for the second goal. To his credit he did keep going and he is a young lad who has a nice first touch and is not afraid to have a go.

Once the lucky second goal came we did see out the game pretty well and it was about one of the more comfortable wins we have had from sometime.

Everton up next, should make for a interesting match.

Hurray, hurray we beat Bolton, time to declare the crisis over we can count of 4th place now, well, at least until the next defeat which should not be too far away considering the lack of quality and depth and consistency we've shown all year long.
Good thing that we got timely reinforcements up front, ooops, sorry, we did not, got absolutely zero, not a problem the gaffer and the owners feel that we are strong enough even without Torres (a few more weeks) and Benayoun. Also good to see that we are holding onto Babel while still keeping him on the bench, makes sense, why sell him for about 10 mil and get some quality bloke in, nooo, we stick to our guns such as they are...wow, boy am I sick and tired of this squad now not to mention Rafa and his constant coyness about going..just go already and let us begin afresh! Also noticed that lately we are worrying that Stevie did not do squat because of man markings, I suppose this is new, they never used to pay much attention to him. Pathetic!

About
Kevin Brodie Kevin Brodie has been fortunate enough to see some of Liverpool’s greatest teams and players in action over the last 35 years. Reds fans are spoiled for choice in trying to pick their favourite memory. The best early memory I have of watching Liverpool in person was our 7-0 thrashing of Spurs, with the 7th goal being a thing of beauty. Watching us in 89 lift the FA Cup after the terrible disaster at Hillsborough was also very special. My favourite Liverpool moment on the TV has to be the Champions League final in 2005. It was a day I will never forget.
