Gerrard and Torres combined well for Liverpool to ease the nerves of the traveling supporters (and those watching on TV). Gerrard took his goal so well but his movement to create the space is what created the goal.

Give West Ham credit, they actually played much better in this game then the previous game at Anfield where they took a point from us.

I thought West Ham passed the ball well but just lacked any real penetration up front. In saying that we had a shaky moment from a set piece and West Ham missed another glorious chance to get back into the match after a bad mistake from Carragher.

West Ham were hard done by when Boa Morte was clearly fouled down our end by Mascherano, to be fair the ref gave them very little all day, and then the same player clearly fouled Torres in the box. I felt Stevie G would miss but lucky for us the rebound fell kindly for him.

I thought we had some very average performers, yossi had his worst game for us in two months and Torres was pretty quiet.

Rafa made some great subs, bringing on Insua was a good move for example.

Overall it was job done, another 3 goals and a clean sheet but United are just to good at the moment. Unless they completely collaspe it's all over but we have nothing to be ashamed about. It's been our best season in some time. We have scored a ton of goals and have played some fantastic football at times. Let's hope that pitch at Wigan has a full sided Rugby game on it today, in the rain.
