Liverpool

That was quite a night. Liverpool played like tigers for the 90 minutes and it's hard to remember a pefromance that was a good as that over the entire 90 minutes. The first half was breathtaking. Everr player was superb and trying to pick a man of the match from our side is difficult. Gerrard and Torres lead the line so well but for me the best player was Mascherano. He was just unbelievable but again I'm splitting hairs.

Their best player was their keeper. His foot save on Torres inside of the first few minutes was very good but his save on the Monster's shot moments later was fantastic. It's easier to understand how our goalie is Spain's number 2, but frankly their isn't much between the.

I have watched the replay of the first goal many times and Pepe wasn't touched. He was trying to clear the ball and was in a full panic. He went to ground and liverpool continued on and scored. he can moan all he likes but it wasn't a foul. Also, it wasn't a pk and that was a gift from the ref and it sealed the win for us. In saying that I dont' think anyone, not even United fans, can say we didn't deserve it.

The kop was in fine voice. The Doss got a goal, 20 year Jay Spearing got a game and Lucas got support of the crowd 4-0 to Liverpool..but it was only Read Madrid

About
Kevin Brodie Kevin Brodie has been fortunate enough to see some of Liverpool’s greatest teams and players in action over the last 35 years. Reds fans are spoiled for choice in trying to pick their favourite memory. The best early memory I have of watching Liverpool in person was our 7-0 thrashing of Spurs, with the 7th goal being a thing of beauty. Watching us in 89 lift the FA Cup after the terrible disaster at Hillsborough was also very special. My favourite Liverpool moment on the TV has to be the Champions League final in 2005. It was a day I will never forget.
