‘I can be Juve’s new Nedved.’ The words of new €15 million signing Milos Krasic as he finally sealed his dream move to Turin from CSKA Moscow. After one of the most protracted transfer sagas of the summer comes to an end, the Bianconeri finally have their man and with several comparisons already being drawn to our legendary Czech magician, it looks like it might turn out to be a very astute signing.

After almost six months of negotiations and breakdowns in talks, Krasic arrives in Turin hungry for success. The Serbian international who featured in the World Cup, showed glimpses of what he can produce despite Serbia falling at the group stages and now joins a list of new faces at the Stadio Olimpico this summer. Having been part of a successful CSKA side which lifted back-to-back UEFA Cups, Krasic has been courted by several of Europe’s elite clubs but has always maintained he had his heart set on a move to Turin.
Beppe Marotta and Gigi Del Neri have left the door open for further signings before the transfer window closes, but one can’t help but think this will be the most important arrival at Juve ahead of the new season. The question remains how the new coach will fit his new influx of stars into a starting XI, with Jorge Martinez, Simone Pepe and now Krasic all fighting for places on either wing. Of course then you have the likes of Mauro Camoranesi who may still be at the club come the end of the month if he fails in his bid to find a new club.
This week also saw the return of Alberto Aquilani to Serie A, with the former Roma midfield-general joining from Liverpool on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy. Aquilani may prove to be a great signing, with Felipe Melo struggling to really re-create his best form in a Bianconeri shirt, and no real deep-lying midfield playmaker in the side, the Roman will be another option for Del Neri.
Following a successful night where Juve overcame AC Milan in the Berlusconi Cup on penalties, let us hope that Alex Del Piero will be lifting a few more trophies come the end of the season. Comparisons can be drawn with Manchester City (on a much smaller scale of course), in that with several new faces joining the club, it may take time for them to settle and play as a unit. Individuals rarely bring success single-handedly, but with this quality and Del Neri’s ability to create a winning mentality and tremendous team spirit, Juve will hope to launch a serious bid of winning silverware this term. The early signs are promising, but I seem to remember the Bianconeri having a decent start to the season last year...

Milos Krasic and Aquilani may be the best transfers for Juventus this season. Marrota's insistence for more signing may pack more surprises for Juventus fans. Perhaps Robinho? (Diego and Robinho can replicate the form they shown at Santos which made them the "Deadly Duo".)
As a Juventus fan, I am bursting with excitement for the new season to start. I have high expectations to compete on all fronts and be the most exciting in Italy.
Imagine at the end of season, Juve's goals compilation video makes you refresh your browser twice to be sure that you are not watching a Fifa 10 goals compilation on Youtube.
And of course, to slay a certain blue and black dragon , that would be fairy tale ending for Juve. To be a knight in shining armour.

Just a quick reminder to the others leaving comments.. The Italian FA has limited the number of non-eu player transfers to 1. And with Krasic coming in Juve have used it up.. So no Caceres for Juve either as his loan spell was up...

i have been hoping for the same as JuveJr said, robinho is on the market and juve should sign him since he is world class and we also need a player in that position, him and diego were magnificent in santos and i am sure they can replicate that in turin the only problem is that right now diego might be sold to raise funds for the team and that dream might just stay a "dream" but lets hope we are all wrong and that diego stays plus a new arrival, ex. suarez/benzema/robinho

robinho would be a great addition to the bianconeri squad, but i think he might be on his way to milan. he wants champions league football, he might see juve as another manchester city situation. but news is if he goes to milan, juve may be in contention to acquire milan striker borriello, who had 14 goals last season. plus, juventus needs all the help up front they can get.
