Just as it seemed as though our season was crumbling from beneath us, a beacon of hope has emerged from the darkness that has shrouded Turin. Alberto Zaccheroni has begun life as coach of the Bianconeri with minimal fuss and his record thus far reads; W2 D2 L0.

A fairly fortuitous victory over Genoa at the weekend has been followed up with an impressive 2-1 victory away in Holland against Ajax. How far can the wily old tactician take us?

Now before we all take to the streets to dance in jubilation, let us remember that Signor Zaccheroni’s tenure is still in its early days and it may perhaps be somewhat of a honeymoon period. However, the improvement in the side is there for all to see, with players looking more comfortable in their roles and the biggest miracle of them all being Amauri remembering he has to put the ball between those two big white sticks. Yes Amauri...it’s called scoring a goal, remember when you used to do it on a regular basis?

His tactical astuteness and strategic manoeuvring of the individuals at his disposal coupled with a wealth of experience have shown that Zac is in fact the real deal and can still cut it at this level. His bold statement in changing formation to a 3-5-2 come 3-4-3 or whatever he wants to call it, is suddenly reaping its rewards and we all wait with baited breath as to where it takes us. However, let us be patient and not get ahead of ourselves. It’s time to just play our football and re-assert ourselves on both the domestic and European scene.

Despite all the trash talk that has been directed at the Europa League, it is what it is. I for one would rather see us fight for some silverware, albeit not the Champions League, whilst attempting to break back into the top four. With Alex Del Piero rolling back the years once again, and Diego suddenly realising it is time to play football, I feel more optimistic about the future...that is until the full time whistle blows against Bologna on Sunday. One game at a time aye fratelli...

I'm still reserved on giving a favorable opinion towards Zaccheroni. It is still to early to judge him, but I am certainly glad Juve has improved its form as of late. After all, Ferrara seemed like a hero when he was put in charge after Ranieri last year with 2 good wins in 2008-2009 and starting this season promisingly...But look where he left us now.... Del Piero has to be the best player at La Vecchia Signora right now. He dribbled and ran constantly throughout the whole game against Ajax and provided the precise crosses for Amauri's headers. Felipe Melo had a decent game as well for the first time in a while as he defended with determination for once. Good to see Trezeguet is back from injury to help our attack. Now if only Iaquinta and Camoranesi became fit to put Juve into the top four of Serie A...

Didn't Del Piero dive against Genoa to get a penalty kick to beat them?

That is hardly fortuitous to be honest.

"However, let us be patient and not get ahead of ourselves"...at least you are realistic, if it wasn't for lucky penalties I think Juve would still be sinking. It's true there is improvement in their game, and the win in Ajax was good for Itlian football but you know that without those lucky penalties Zac would have been in hot water right now

Kudos to Zac and to the 'Youths of Turin'. The guys are playing a little better than recent and we should acknowledge that. They are winning games and that is important. Juventus is and organization and when the organization does not gain points it is negatively affected, financially and otherwise and by extension it affects us, the fans. We, the fans, like the board like wins and we accept them in any form and/or fashion especially when they are well needed. I'm not too worried because as I said, the boys are playing better and there is much more room for improvement, which is good.
Concerning the penalty against genoa, the issue is not one if diving as Del Piero was obviously clipped. The issue, concerns where he was clipped; inside or outside of the area.
Anyway, where is Sebastian Giovinco? We need that youth vigor out there; we need that element
