As the final 23-man squad begins to take shape, Marcello Lippi axed both Fabio Grosso and Andrea Candreva this week to whittle his squad down to 28. It came as no surprise that the latter failed to make the cut having failed to impress since his mid-season move to Juventus. However, where Lippi has caused debate is the admission of 2006 hero Grosso.
