Inter defeat at Tottenham caused many eyebrows to raise. Last season treble is a considerable heavy legacy and Benitez is now facing the problems everyone expected when Mourinho announced he was leaving.
Without mentioning Benitez once Massimo Moratti did not hide his disappointment: "At Tottenham we didn't play well. Not at all. We lacked determination and organisation. We can't achieve any of our goals playing this way". Inter Milan chairman and owner adds some more pressure on Benitez, questioning Bale supposed greatness: "We had already seen Bale in the first leg. He's a good player but having already seen how good he was we could have stopped him the second time. Anyway, I don't know...". Too many injured players, is another issue: "What's my opinion? Same as yours. I think someone has to step back and change something. There is the urgency to pass from theory to practise".

We had a lot of injuries. However, this doesn't justify the bad result. Rafa should've tried different tactics. You can't expect to play with the same tactics if a good deal of the team is fresh off the bench for the first time.
I don't know. I seriously think we could've done a lot better (even with the rookies). There was no fluidity what so ever.

the bigger problem arises when a coach comes with a stupid attitude.Rafa came with this attitude that he is a better coach than Mou.Rafa WHAT Mou has left there is gonna tear up yr career in Inter.watch the space.why did moratti appoint a coach like Rafa? who destroyed a nearly premier league winners and guided them to position seven!!!! and players like eto who knew that a team defends as a team now open their big mouths and tok of how he was a defender under Mou!after scoring personal 3 goals whereas the results are hard to come by at inter.under Mou players like stupid eto,wud have been responsibe for bale in london.no wonder why drogba si betr than him this days;he knows what a team work is

To be fair benitez is still new but also there is common sense in futball when selecting ur lineup.Materazzi has not played since the beginnig of LAST season!So how can he be in the starting lineup??Benitez said the derby is passion and materazzi has passion.That's emotional talk and not professional talk.Im not saying it was Marco's fault for the penalty but still this indicates a bit of benitez's thinking.Making etoo main striker means that milito cant be also.But milito was inter's main and top scorer last year and with Genoa and Zaragoza.Milito should be main striker and etoo wide striker.etoo can do well in that position even if he does not prefer.Injuries have not helped the team also.I think Benitez has to the end of the season to prove himself.
