What an emotional rollercoaster of a season. I can’t believe that the league finished in the dramatic way it did. After a gruelling journey that stretched our players to their limits over 38 match days, we came out on top.
I’ve never felt a match move so fast when we didn’t have the lead, and then so slow when we did. Those last 30 minutes or so rivalled that of the 60 minutes at the Camp Nou. At the end of the day, we did it!
• Five in a row for Inter Milan
• Milito hails "most important goal"
Let’s celebrate tonight but get right back into it come tomorrow. We still have one more match to go, and by God, it’s a big one…
(A proper match/season review to follow, for now enjoy some awesome pics. Whose buying one of those new away kits? Oh I know I am!)

18th!!!!!!!

One of the very Best! Grande Diego!!!

Let's Celebrate!!! I gotta feeling, that tonight's gonna be a good night(8)

Grande Wesley!!! We couldn't have done it without you!!!
Io sono Interista! Ti amo Inter! Amala! Forza INTER!!!!!!!!!!

Bayern will crush Inter. Bayern 7-0 Inter is the final result. Barca's goal got disallowed that's why you are in the final. YOU GOT LUCKY, THAT IS IT!! Barca should have been there. It was a proper goal. No defending will help against the German tanks.

Posted by Freakaleesh on 05/17/2010
Well.... Congrats to Inter too! Anyway, Bayern crushing Inter 7-0 is definitely impossible. Let alone Ribery is not available. But Inter do have their own answer to Robben, his fellow Dutchmen, Wesley Sneijder. Should be a close encounter but I am banking on Inter to deliver the goods and a treble for Inter. Forza Inter!!!!

forget your german tanks, 4 world cups many champions leage glories etc, you should have been even frightened to mention the name (INTER MILLAN) SO cut this crap and wait for the UCL trophy go to the beautiful country ITALY. you morron. german tanks will be destroyed by ITALIAN crafty legs

I don't really know much about german tanks, but I do know that Inter has what it takes to defeat bayern. I wonder what dreamland the fella talkin 7-0 comes from

What a season it has been! The FIGC did their best to derail us all season long, but we stood firm and took what's rightfully ours. And all this after many of us (including me) were predicting tons of gloom and doom for this season. Mourinho is the Special One, no question about it. He's turned a bunch of good players into a superbly oiled machine. Kudos!

there is always one trash-talker. hey bayernmeister, go home and drink your hofbrau when we thump bayern.
 |
Posted by Eissman on 05/17/2010
Relax Robbie and Inter fans... as a Bayern supporter I guarantee you that the 2nd poster is not only NOT a Bayern fan but likely just a Inter hater.
Bayern are incapable of beating anyone 7-0. But please do continue to underestimate us.... that seems to be working very well for us this Champions League campaign. :)

Poor delusional Luca, my how fickle fans forget...
Do you by chance remember how Bayern made it this far? Offside goals ring a bell?

Posted by holaminous on 05/17/2010
couldnt help but to comment on the quote 'german tanks will be destroyed by ITALIAN crafty legs'. made me laugh at first. crafty huh? (now wheres that match at nou camp. even with 10 men, with some so called crafty leg, they should get beyond half way line and play right rather than defending for whole match. ofcourse if by that u mean crafty. funny.)

Bayern will defeat Inter...Inter doesnt have a good record against Bayern
Remember the l;ast two times these clubs met in the group stages ? Bayern won both meetings
Good luck Inter, but the double is as far as you get
 |
Posted by Anonymous on 05/17/2010
LOL. holaminous and BB... you guys somehow seem to forget that those were MUCH better off Bayern teams and MUCH worse off Inter teams. Also, making comments as such about the match @ Camp Nou are pointless due to the fact that 1) Inter won the first leg outright and 2) Defended the victory. That's football. Do you remember what happened the last time bayern tried to play "beautiful football" against Barca?
 |
Posted by massimiliano on 05/17/2010
CAMPIONI D'ITALIA per il 5° anno consecutivo
e ABBIAMO VINTO ANCHE LA COPPA ITALIA...un fantastico DOUBLE....
e ora CE NE ANDIAMO A MADRID...CE NE ANDIAMO A MADRID...CE NE ANDIAMO A MADRID!!!
poveri crucchi LI ASFALTIAMOOOOOO

all inter haters, can you please just go in a hole for a while. inter got here by playing good football, they deserve to be in the final. sure bayern's a great team but their defense is DIGUSTINGLY horrible. i can see a 3-1 win by inter. think about it, if we can stop barca; how's bayern gonna score if they got rocked by the team that they want to play "beautiful football" with. in short bayern deserves respect but INTER has a 90 % of winning. with all that has transpired this season i don't they'll lose.
 |
Posted by Vinod on 05/18/2010
^Go easy man, we don't want to jinx it! Remember that while we've beaten Barca, we've also got beaten by Catania by the same scoreline...
 |
Posted by sammy on 05/18/2010
I think Inter will win...they have the stamina, the composure and confidence to go through.Above all the greatest soccer tactician at the moment Mr mourinho....Inter will take this one...they are a team for the big occasion
 |
Posted by bruce on 05/18/2010
not to mentioned that bayern beat fiorentina by an offside goal and beat Manchester United in the QFs by getting a defender sent off for an innocuous challenge... :S
 |
Posted by zing on 05/18/2010
7-0 HAHA. this is not chelsea v stoke. if that happen in a champ league final it's a laughing stock. 7-0 will never happen
 |
Posted by MisoSoup on 05/18/2010
7-0 hey? Let me guess Barca fan? Jealousy is such an ugly thing...
 |
Posted by holaminous on 05/18/2010
well im not saying inter a bad team. i do agree their deserve victory in serie A. but to brand them crafty seems a bit odd to me. being a barca fan i am, ofcourse im disapointed but i think inter are tactically better, so yea they deserve it. but ever see barca play with 10 men? thats 'crafty' alright.

Keep on Jose, I need Internazionale Champions of Europe.

Posted by Terrojoe on 05/18/2010
I think Inter will win... I am a Barca fan, by the way... Inter has a coach with good tactics, that why I think they will win it... But, to be honest, I would like Bayern to win. I don't like Joes's arrogance and crazy "mind games."
Just because Inter knocked Barca out of the CL doesn't mean that they are a better team. I think Jose used good tactic and it was just "their day" (things went more in their favour). All the best to Bayren! lol :-P

@ vinod: i know i shouldn't talk yet. i get caried away to easy. and yes the catania game left me in shambles.
 |
Posted by Dan on 05/19/2010
heheh. Yes Bayern lost to Barca last season, let's also remember that 3 out of their 4 first team defenders were not available for that match. You put your reserve defense against Barca and see what happens, unfortunatley Bayern had no alternative last season. Anyway I think Inter are a good team but before you accuse Bayern of being lucky people can make the same argument about Inter. A lot of people are saying Inter got lucky because Barca scored a valid goal that got can canceled by the ref. Fiorentina scored an offside goal against Bayern too in Italy and it's not Bayern's fault ManU's players are dumb and committing stupid fouls.
 |
Posted by RichY on 05/19/2010
holaminous sTupid...
bermain dengan 10 orang pemain melawan barca bukanlah mudah tetapi inter dapat mengatasinya dengan taktik,
sedangkan bayern melaju hingga final oleh keberuntungan gol offside.
lebih memalukan mana??
bodoh
 |
Posted by RichY on 05/19/2010
playing with 10 men against Barca players is not easy but it can cope with inter tactics,
while Bayern rode luck to the final by an offside goal.
which is more embarrassing?
stupid

Mega INTER deserve da tremble. 3-0 inter. Oh yeah all u barca fans, y'all need to pull yo pants up, yo panties iz showin

It is a great season for us,I'd like (o thank d manager, the coaching crew, the strong nd energetic players..no 1 should take ur moments away, you boys did so greatly and we are so so proud!!,we will do it again come 22 may(ucl) finals-UP INTER MILAN.
 |
Posted by interistapersempre on 05/21/2010
@dan 1: i just looked up the game, and yeah they were missing players, but i think overall compared to inter's defense they aren't good, and as for the offside goals i personally think that barca's goal(s)(both were offside, and the second was a handball) in the camp was offside. as for fiorentina i think that both legs was badly refed all together.

Stop the hating....we are the champions of Europe and Italia....the best team in the world....you tried all year to rob us in Italy this is why Jose is leaving. No matter what you say you can never take away this season from the Interisti we deserved it all. Forza Inter. Clsas organization from top to bottom.

Posted by Jack on 05/24/2010
Half a decade of dominance in Italy....AS ROMA MERDA TU ZEROOOOO TITOLI...MILAN...JUVE...you are all no match for us. SIAMO NOI SIAMO NOI CAMPIONE ITALIA SIAMO NOI.....You do not show respect for Inter therefore you will not get any back from us.
We will make it 6 in a row next year in Italia, and hopefully can make it back to the CL final once again.

to witness that game on wseendday was a travestry. those of the types of games you tell people if you havent watched soccer then this is the game to watch. i just hope people who were new to soccer didnt watch that game. watching barca players cheat was an absolute disgrace to the integrity of the game. seeing a team systematically cheat and watching all 11 players surround the ref from the start to influence the ref to get an opponent sent off should be punished in my eyes. we have all seen r individual players do things we particually do not like but it happens but to witness an entire organization try and cheat was perhaps the most shocking thing i have seen in soccer. to see barca in 09 against chelski, then inter, then the gooners and now again with real proves that uefa and fifa r as corrupt as the old mafia bosses in america. no team gets that many calls for them that consistently over a period of years and in such vital games. all teams get lucky calls but no team is that fucking lucky. every fucking time in the last 4 years a team actually goes out and plays against barca there is red card. every single fucking time barca look to be in a scrap there is a red card. watching pepe get sent off on wseendday i dont blame the special one one bit for calling the powers of soccer out. i applaud him. i would have stood up in my seat and cheered to witness that. the special one will pay for what he said but he had the fucking balls to say what has been on alot of our minds these past couple of years that barca is the favorite child of fifa and uefa and the powers to be do not want anyone playing tough or having a go at them. to much money is at stake. i fucking hate barca. i can not stand the ground they walk on. i despise barca and what they stand for more then i dispise livershitte and as you all know that means i truly despise barca. they foul everytime a team breaks their press, every single fucking time you break the press they fucking foul. then you foul them and they flop and cheat to get cards against the opposing team and act like they are so fucking innocent. its absolute pathetic anti football if you ask me. how anyone can cheer for that team and support the instititionized system of anti football and cheating and similation is beyond me. all that being said i think barca is the best team in the world. its just a shame that they cheat the way they do and pretend that they play beautiful football. when it comes down to it i despise the cheating not the quality of players they have.
