Hull City
Posted by Christopher Farman on 12/19/2008

Hull look to extend their five match unbeaten run against managerless Sunderland on Saturday at the Kingston Communications Stadium.

Both teams had a successful outing last time out, with Sunderland collecting all three points at home to relegation favourites West Brom, whilst Hull were once again defying the odds at Anfield, taking a point from leaders Liverpool.

Hull will be without Craig Fagan, injury-prone Anthony Gardner and striker Caleb Folan. Paul McShane is ineligible as part of his loan deal from Sunderland, and will therefore miss out.

Craig Gordon remains a doubt for Sunderland, whilst George McCartney, Russell Anderson and Darren Ward are out with long-term injuries.

Possible line-ups
Hull: Myhill, Ricketts, Turner, Zayatte, Dawson, Mendy, Boateng, Ashbee, Barmby, King, Geovanni

Sunderland: Fulop, Bardsley, Nosworthy, Ferdinand, Collins, Malbranque, Reid, Tainio, Richardson, Jones, Cisse

One to Watch
Michael Turner (Hull) - Linked all week with moves away from the club, he will look to keep Jones and Cisse quiet at one end, whilst causing problems for the Sunderland defence from set pieces at the other.

Betting Tip
First Goalscorer: Michael Turner (18/1 - bet365)

Prediction
Hull City 2 Sunderland 1

About
AUTHOR-NAME-HERE Welcome to my new blog. I've been watching Hull City for over ten years now, and have seen the club rise from a lower league laughing stock, locked out of their own ground, to Premier League upstarts turning over Arsenal at the Emirates. Hopefully you'll find my views on the Tigers interesting, so feel free to join the debate. Come on you Hull!
