All Honduras fans are hoping that striker Georgie Welcome won't be distracted by all the rumors linking him to Scottish Premier League side Rangers. Welcome's 23 goals in 63 games for current Liga Nacional side Motagua is already drawing close attention to his talents before the tournament has even kicked off. Rangers will more than likely be looking for a quick resolution in the hope of snapping up the forward before a potential 'transfer fee increasing' tournament performance.

However, if you take coach Reinaldo Rueda's view, Rangers might want to just hold off a little while longer. Having said he lacks a team 'fit for the World Cup' Rueda won't exactly be heaping praise on his star forward after a hapless 3-0 defeat to Romania in his side's last World Cup warm up match. It's a really disappointing loss, especially since Romania has had a terrible few years of results, really not doing much since Euro 2008. The Scottish club could be in for a bargain yet.

Meanwhile, star midfielder Wilson Palacios has given the side a timely boost by insisting he will be fit for the big kick off against Chile. Palacios had caused panic after being stretchered off during the Romania defeat but the Spurs man has guaranteed he is fit and ready to go.

Get your Honduras World Cup jerseys in time to cheer us on to the later rounds! Anything can happen in this group, especially if we can get an opening result against Chile.
