An open and entertaining game that sees Fulham give United a huge scare. Sir Alex declares himself happy with a point and admits Fulham were the better side in the 2nd half. Check out the BBC match report and image below (be quick) which says it all. A day when Fulham again made us proud to be a supporter!

Let me know how you interpret the significance of holding one of the biggest club sides in the world, twice coming from behind, and what this bodes for our season.

Personally, I saw that team spirit remains as strong as ever from last season - the most pleasing aspect from our first home game. Bobby was a real handful all afternoon, young Stockdale did little wrong and made a vital penalty save, while Dembele certainly looked lively when he came on. Brede Hangeland was awarded the Sky champagne for Man of the Match and gave a great post-match interview.

What do we make of the manager's selection of Dempsey to start, and who else was worried by Murphy's poor performance, giving the ball away cheaply far too often? But all in all, the side responded magnificently after a shaky start, and had the officials spotted the blatant shirt tugging on Dembele by Vidic in the 2nd half, a penalty of our own may well have seen us take all three points from United for the third season in a row.

It's only a point, but thanks to Brede's thundering header, it almost felt as sweet as a win. VIVA EL FULHAM!

Please let's show the same commitment at Blackpool next Saturday and get that first win under our belts.

afer united scored the first goal, i was worried that theyd get a quick goal right after again, but the team held together and improved throughout the game, becoming the better side for the second half of the game, if dickson knew how to score, we could have got a win, but thats not his job so i cant really blame him for that, the boys showed good spiorit to get back into the game, it was enjoyable to watch, and as for dembele, all i saw him do was run, he didnt really show much and the murphy problem can be solved with the signing of another play maker so that danny doesnt have to start every game, steven sidwell or Thomas Kahlenberg are good options

Congrats boys, you made us proud today

I think this season is starting well- a point on the road and then one from Man U.

I am a bit worried about Murphy. He is on the wrong side of 30 and I am not sure that he can run and take the abuse of an EPL season as an everyday starter. the problem is that we have not made any signings to help him nor does he have a true set of quality midfielders.

I wish we would finally play Dempsey and Zamora up front togther and then go sign a midfielder.

Still 2 games in and no real threats from our forwards--this is what should worry us.

the next two games are crucial, there is no real reason why we cannot pick up 6 points in the next 2 games. That would be a great start to the season.

Phil, I would very much like to hear your thoughts on the gaffer's decision to start with Deuce, and where and how you would like to see him used this campaign.

Also, how is Vidic "untouchable" in his own area?

Stockdale and Brede looked fantastic.

I wonder, since when Mark Hugh ever win Manchester United game, be it at home ground or away matches? Even when he managed at Man-city. Rarely.

When Murphy was substitute out, my biggest worried did happen. The central midfield was not in tune either to the forward for attacking or strengthen the defend. There is no much creativity when the play maker was out.

I hope all the best for Fulham in this coming season.

I thought the team played really well especially after going a goal down. I'd say the first 10-15 mins of each half went to Man U but after that we showed a lot. Couple observations...

1) We really need to sign a central midfielder who is ready to step in now. Murphy was disappointing and with his age I'm concerned. Plus Greening just doesn't do it for me.

2) I actually thought Fulham played much better when Dempsey was in. I thought it was odd that he got pulled so early and the team really couldn't gain any momentum after he was subbed. I mean sure Dempsey did some of his usual frustrating things (shooting from outside the box and never hitting it cleanly) but he linked the midfield and Zamora really well.

Fulham has a great potential in Stockdale, they should give him more playing time so he can develop and sell the wantaway shwarzer. since after this game Al Fayed warn Man U of not banging their doors for their youth.
