The last two league matches have been highly disappointing, which considering we have taken four points seems a bit ungrateful - but unless you are wearing your blue-tinted glasses you cannot disagree.

The Norwich match this weekend was the epitome of Chelsea in the past year and a half, little style with less substance. Overall disappointing.

Happy new year all, it’s been some time – and rather a lot has gone on in the world of Chelsea, but rather little has actually changed.

There have been mainly lows, slightly salved by the late high against Wolves at the weekend, but on reflection draws against Fulham and Spurs and the loss against Villa have truly made 2011 forgettable.

It’s time to realise that we are not the force we once were.
