You may have read articles from both Lampard and Cech in the aftermath of the 2-0 victory against Liverpool where they have both stated we deserve the title this season, sentiments echoed from my blog last week.

Petr Cech maintained that this was down to the fact that we have taken all 18 points from the "big four" games this season - a feat achieved only by Chelsea in Premier League history.

Of course this is a major factor in Premier League success, but I think there are several more reasons why we are on our way to our fourth top flight title.

The Best Sports Photo Ever? ©Reuters Pictures

- Luck: there I said it! Luck is an absolute must when winning a title. When we first won the Premier League under Jose Mourinho I noticed a massive change in the direction of our luck. Certain decisions go our way, and undeniably this has happened this season, and certain bits of luck fall your way - a la Stevie G on Sunday.

- Bouncebackability: A horrid phrase introduced into the world by Soccer AM (via Iain Dowie I think?) but an essential to win a title. Unless you win all four trophies you are always going to have to find your team picking themselves up from a disappointing loss at some stage in the season. Chelsea's renaissance after the loss against Inter Milan was nothing short of incredible, the 7-1 win against Aston Villa being one of the highlights of the season.

- Experience: something that Man United have always had bundles of, and with our ageing team we now ooze experience. Petr Cech, Frank Lampard and John Terry have been there and done it with Chelsea, Ashley Cole and Anelka with Arsenal, Ballack with Bayern and Essien and Malouda with Lyon. To be champions you need the mentality of champions, and looking through our squad there are several of these even on the fringes of the first team.

- Depth of Squad: it could be said we were lacking this last year when injuries piled up on us at the start of the season, we were short in a couple of positions. However this year with Arsenal's ever decreasing squad, alongside Man United and Liverpool losing some key players we managed to keep on to all of our essential players - and thus far have managed to capitalise. There is no doubt that the respective losses of Adebayor, Toure, Ronaldo, Tevez and Alonso and the maintaining of Lampard and Drogba - despite various foreign advances - have had a large impact on the outcome of the season thus far.

- Florent Malouda: never did I think that I would be singing the praises of Florent Malouda as highly as I have this season. He has been nothing short of exceptional, and alongside Branislav Ivanovic has been one of our best players this season.

- Goals (obviously...): and bundles of them. We have shown that we now have the extra ability of killing teams off. Previous eras have seen us stroll to 1-0 wins, this season hasn't seen anything of the like. Even against Liverpool on Sunday where the start was nervy, the one goal wasn't enough, we went for more and we got more. Three seven goal showings at home are testament to this mindset, something we wouldn't have expected to see under Italian leadership.

and finally...

- Carlo Ancelotti: for me, not enough has been made of Ancelotti's achievements this season. A lack of investment this season may more be down to the cautious opening of our owner's chequebook owing to the disaster Scolari, however not once has Ancelotti quibbled that this wasn't his own team - often the excuse of new managers. He has shown that he is tactically sound with the employment of Drogba and Anelka quite often being successful (especially at the beginning of the season) and also the unorthodox use of Malouda at left back when we were short in that role - it wasn't revolutionary but it was a makeshift risk that didn't cause too many problems, something a good manager needs to do. The main thing he should be praised for is the oft mentioned Crisis Talks after the Inter game, they had an effect and it has no doubt spurred us on to put us in the driving sit.

Let's hope we can fly the blue flag higher than ever come two weeks time, two cup finals to come. Exciting times.

That is not to mention Lampard and Drogba each having arguably their best seasons, not just in front of goal but with assists, I believe I am right in saying that between them they have more goals and more assists than the whole of the Stoke team!

You missed Kalou, who is showing greater committment than we have ever seen.

I don't want to think about anything other than winning on Sunday. To me nothing else matters, Player of the Year, Youth Cup, FA Cup etc. No doubt Wigan could cause an upset after all it's only a two-horse race. I hope CA lectures Terry on keeping his cool. We will need 11 players to get past the finishing line. Plenty of pressure from the word go but nothing cavalier, low fast balls into the box and get Kalou running at them from kick-off. An unchanged side would be a plus I think.

Everything crossed.

If BlueZ lifts d double dis season, my daughter's name will be CHELSEA, as my name's STAMFORD

Thanks to Abrahamovic, our Coaches, Back-room Staff, and Players who collectively make an impressive performance. I think we deserve d double dis season with our performance especially winning all d top flight matches both home nd away (gaining all the possible 18 points 4rm dis matches). And 4 d Latics, the were just wasting their siliva, Chelsea will bury d match in 1st half and they can also be overwhelm like what they did against d likes of Sunderland, Aston Villa, and Stoke City, all at Stamford Bridge. Up Chelsea, Blues 4 live.

Up Blues! The did is yet to be done, the other Big Three stil refer to Chelsea as Common or of yesterday, that l am not bordered about, they can call the Blues babies for all l care. But what l am worried about is the fact that we still come into some games an attitude that does not replicate the fierce champions that we are and moreso not handling teams that have given us trouble to treat them as such, for instance, Man City, allowing them to win us twice. l just hope that Ancelotti will make them to keep their cool and make as many goal as will be befitting for the Title party at the Bridge. Wishing all Blues Fans all over the world Blissful celebration in advance!!

I can't help myself but worried that some terrible things could happen to crash our winning party, guess I've been a Chelsea fan too long :) Last year's semis exit at Champions League still hurts!
Wigan was beaten 9-1 this year and Chelsea had won 7-2, 7-1 and 7-0 before ... so ... a 9-0 win for the Blues?
LONG LIVE THE BLUES !!!

I believe that we have learnt from our mistake against Wigan in last September. I also believe that CA has desiged methods to defeat Wigan. I believe also, that the team know they are playing on their home pitch. I believe further that Chelsea 4-0 Wigan. I believe also that Drogba wins the Golden boot. I also believe that the EPL Trophy will be handed over to John Terry in front of the home FANS. I finally believe that on the following Saturday, FA CUP will also be handed upon to John Terry. Count on my words

I must admit that after the defeat to inter earlier in the season, i felt like every team i have lived for (Chelsea, England, The Toronto Maple leafs) has left me with stress and disappointment. the 7-1 trashing of Villa turned the season around for me and kept me watching the blues every time they play. the title is not safe, but its in reach, GO BLUES!@
