We are forever hearing of footballers and their need to do the talking on the pitch - and for Chelsea and their captain there was no time better than this weekend to take this advice
Fortunately for Chelsea fans alike we can be thankful that our reliable (in footballing terms) Captain rose to the challenge, and Frank Lampard’s late corner, and earned us a vital three points at an equally vital time in the race for the title.
What people need to do is step back, take a breath, and realise that football is one world and the private life of a multi-millionaire twenty-something is completely different.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not and can not justify the actions of a man who has torn through the lives of family and friends around him, but that is entirely it – it is their lives and completely nothing whatsoever to do with football.
In this celebrity obsessed society we all live in it is increasingly tough not to merge the two together, but as football fans we must remember John Terry for being our captain and most importantly one of Chelsea’s most influential players of our most successful years.
I think you will find most of the general public and the press will be lambasting Terry for weeks to come, but I think you would be more hard pushed to find a true member of the Chelsea faithful offering the same critique. It is not a question of morals and ethics; it is a question of football.
If he does lose his England captaincy, as the public so wishes, then it is more of a loss for England football team. The irony is his possible list of replacements have very colourful private lives themselves, but their time in the public eye has been and gone.
My judgement shall be reserved for when he starts to falter on the playing field, not off of it.

Thank you David. For all you hypocrites out there, let him without sin cast the first stone. I also guess the venom is borne out of the fact that JT tried to gag the press. As rightly stated, loss of the captain position will also be England's loss, so go ahead, don't stop with taking the captain's hand band, pleeeeaaaaasseeee expel him from the team as well and lets see where it will get the English team.

I agree he should be left alone. However can you see the headlines if England win the World Cup. "Adulteress leads England to Cup Glory".

Fabio knows best. He has been given sole responsibility on JTs future as a England Capt and player. Fabio, being the man that he is will not jeopardize his teams world cup chances just because a player did something during his private time. Clearly Ancelotti sees JT as Chelsea Capt and that in itself proves his worth as a stand out player that he is. Im not one to speculate but, sometimes man can't help but think with there penises. It is naturally harder for guys to pick up girls ask if you dont believe me. On the other hand girls just need to get there eagle on and guaranteed most guys will come running specialy if she is someone as hot as Vanessa Perroncel. Venessa more than anyone knew that JT was a no no. Despite that she went "there". Wayne, JT loves you man. He asks not for forgiveness but a bit of understanding that "pussys" can be at fault to sometimes. Most players in the England squad must have done their fair share of galavanting. Only this time she was a team mates "X".

I don't understand English press sometimes. In the year when the team is strong enough to win the World Cup, you try to sabotage it with this witch hunt. Whatever happened in the past, there's JT's private life, it got nothing to do with his performance on field. I'm so frustrated.
Just let him alone. One thing, if the affair happened after the break-up of Wayne and his girlfriend, what the heck he's so upset about??? Besides, he's just the alternate to Ashley Cole, while Terry is indispendable.

John is a natural leader,he is a selfless, dedicated fotball proffessional and has personal enthusiasm, its takes some degree of madness to relate some ones personal life to what he does proffessionally well.I think the groons in the media have run out of stories.I can only urge johnie to forget whatever the so called media are doing/writting&concetrate on his football right now. These pundits hate chelsea and they say this well aware that JOHNIE IS course for the premier league+world cup glogy.HATTERS GO TO MARS.

i think in my own opinion that the English press are sometimes mad in publishing some rubbish in the papers we are taking about a model here you pres forget that models are prostitutes .
so jts case will not be different because john terry did not force vasni into sex. remember vividly that they have ben friends for a very long time even before vani met wanye .so terry's captaincy should not be involve in this case at all what will happen at the world in few months coming without jts experience at that central back so lets forgive and forget like jesus asked who their be the first to cast a stone at the Adulteress women every body left the scene.
john we are talking about here has done a lot of things for the English nationals as well as for his club Chelsea he has been outstanding in all his matches he played for us HE HAS ALL QUALITIES OF A GOOD LEADER !ONE:HIS COMPORTMENT IN THE FIELD OF PLAY TWO HIS UNDERSTANDING AND WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT ,HIS COMPOSURE HIS OUTSPOKEN than

Wait a minute he slept with my bird? I'm not having him as my captain!?!? How can I trust him
Also he is really slow and would get killed by a decent striker at the world cup
