Celtic will face FC Sion on Thursday without English striker Gary Hooper as he has been ruled out for several weeks after suffering a sprained ankle during Saturday's 5-1 win over Dundee United and he could miss Sunday's SPL clash with St.Johnstone also.

A statement on the club's official website confirmed: "Following a scan today, the club can confirm that Gary Hooper has a sprained ankle and could potentially be out for a few weeks.

"The striker was injured during Saturday's 5-1 SPL victory over Dundee United at Celtic Park. And he'll miss the Hoops' Europa League play-off against FC Sion this Thursday."

Andy,
Not that we all don't appreciate you updating us on the matches, but lately I feel like some of these posts you're churning I could have read on espn gamecast. I'm pretty sure that 99% of people who continually visit this page are watching every match and don't need simple updates on the score or injuries.
This blog is my source to what the supporters are saying in the pubs all around Glasgow (I live in Washington D.C.), the mentality of our team, the events from trips abroad, and our identity as a club in Scotland. For those of us who don't have the luxury of attending matches your articles i.e. "Scottish Media towards Neil Lennon"/"Celtic more than Club" provide amazing insight on what it's like to be a supporter of the club in Scotland.
I understand that sometimes material simply isn't there, but I'd rather have one great post every 2 weeks than 2 post a week of updates we could have read on sportinglife.

Cheers,

Mitch
