A brace from Florent Malouda along with goals from Salomon Kalou and Didier Drogba gave Chelsea a comprehensive four nil win at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea took the lead in the second minute and were four goals ahead at half time.

In the second half Blackpool restored some pride by holding the champions and fashioned a couple of chances of their own but failed to head back to the north west with a consolation goal.

Deadline day signing DJ Campbell had Tangerine fans dancing on the terraces again when his injury time strike secured a 2-0 victory at St. James' Park.

The fairytale continues for Blackpool who have now accumulated seven points from their opening four Premier League fixtures, putting them in fourth position just one point behind Manchester United.

Blackpool's first home game in the Premier League ended in an entertaining 2 - 2 draw against Mark Hughes' Fulham side.

The London club took a one goal lead into half time thanks to Bobby Zamora's headed goal. Blackpool fought back in the second half to first draw level then take the lead shortly after through debutant Luke Varney.

Dickson Etuhu equalised late on to give Fulham a point to take back to West London.
