For Alex McLeish's Birmingham City, it's been an enthralling first week back in the Premier League, to say the very least. For the fans, it's been a week of pain, fear, and frustration mixed with just a bit of relief in the shape of a James McFadden penalty.
The week started with a daunting trip to Old Trafford, to face the best team in the land. However, fans were filled with belief that this season could turn out to be a successful one, after a resolute performance against the very best.
Yes, United were not at their best, but Blues made them play badly. Blues hurried and hastled the United stars, and they were unlucky not to score one or two. One shot cleared off the line, and one world class save to deny Christian Benitez. Not bad for relegation fodder.
