What I (in my infinite wisdom) took away from the match against Dortmund:
1) I’m really missing Martin Demichelis.
2) Although neither Rensing or Butt are fabulous, either will do admirably once the problem / question of our central defenders is settled. (It’s got to be a nightmare to try and fill Ollie Kahn’s boots.)
3) Heck… we can just out-gun our opponents. Score them in to submission. It won’t be pretty all the time, but it will damn sure be entertaining!
I figure Bayern will start the same 11 against Maccabi Haifa as they did against Borussia Dortmund; as Klose, Toni, Van Bommel, Demichelis and Goerlitz are all injured. And although Ribery is getting back to 100 percent, I feel like Ramadan is keeping him from playing a full 90 minutes. I’d expect him to be a second-half sub once again.
Bayern’s been flat at the start of their matches this season and the atmosphere in Tel Aviv should be electric. Haifa will have their chances in the first 20 minutes--- but that’s about it.
Haifa 1 - Bayern 4.

Great post Susie. I also cannot wait for Mark to get back. He plays a great enforcer role. Your comment about Franck and Ramadan made me laugh.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks, Larry.
It is a little known fact that Ribery is Muslim. I don't know why the team / him / the press can't just say he can't play a full 90 minutes because he's not allowed to eat or drink anything from sunrise to sunset.

well...
once again muller proved he s one of the most talented young players... in the world?
no one expected maccabi to be that dangerous. unfortunately, bayern showed the same face they have for the last three years, they lacked ambition, soul, leadership and killer instinct. the only good news came from butt and the magnificent muller... clearly, he deserves the name.
