Normally this time of year is a celebration in Munich. The Oktoberfest is about to get started, and FC Bayern’s sitting pretty in the top quadrant of the Bundesliga.

Paulaner’s giving away beer at the Allianz Arena, Bayern’s in 14th place; only having wrestled 2 points in 3 matches., and we’re playing Wolfsburg? Sounds like a recipe for disastrous fun to me…

The Sudkurve and Schickeria ultras will be at their “besoffen”-best. Robben gets a run out against last year’s Bundesliga champions. Ribery as well, although I’m sure he’s not up to a full 90 minutes, as yet.

Who would start? Gah. This is only on conjecture…

4-4-2: Braafheid and Lahm on the wings, with Van Buyten and Badstueber in center defense. Pranjic and Altintop as midfield wings, with Tymoschuk and Schweinsteiger playing the bottom and top of the diamond, respectively. And, I’m sure Klose and Gomez get the nod up front.

4-3-3?!: (Possibly second half?) Same back four. Ribery and Robben on the flanks in midfield, with Bastian Schweinsteiger in the middle. Gomez, Olic and Klose up front. (This might pretty much be my dream team, except for the unknowns in the back four…)
